WhollyCarea Sentir Solutions company Β· the Sincere Strategy
Education & advocacy β€” never diagnosis

When the news is scary and the system says no, you shouldn't have to face it with a search bar.

WhollyCare helps families facing rare and complex conditions do two things the internet does badly: understand a medical result calmly enough to ask the right questions, and fight an insurance denial that was designed to make you give up. We don't diagnose. We don't doom-scroll. We help you walk into the next conversation prepared.

How we help

Two tools, one idea: turn frightening raw information into a calm next step and the right questions.

🧭
Read my results

Paste what you see on MyChart before your doctor explains it. We translate the language and hand you the questions to ask β€” without the worst-case spiral.

πŸ’
Ask a follow-up

Still have a question? Ask us instead of Google. You'll get a calm, accurate answer to the facts β€” never a personal verdict, always something to bring your doctor.

βš–οΈ
Fight a denial

Load a denial letter. We explain why they said no, show you the real odds of winning, and draft your appeal. "Denied" almost always means "denied for now."

πŸšͺ
Disability & benefits

SSDI, SSI, Medicare, and VA disability β€” the maze built to exhaust you. We map it, show the real odds, and tell you honestly when free help beats a paid lawyer.

What we are β€” and what we aren't

βœ… What WhollyCare is

  • A calm translator for confusing medical language
  • A question-generator for your appointments
  • An advocacy coach for insurance appeals
  • Built on the Sincere Strategy: auditable, no paid placements, no conflicts of interest
  • Honest about base rates β€” "usually this, rarely that"

🚫 What WhollyCare is not

  • Not a diagnosis β€” we never tell you what you have
  • Not a replacement for your doctor or a lawyer
  • Not a fear machine β€” we never lead with the worst case
  • Not in the business of false reassurance either
  • Not uploading your data β€” your journey stays on your device, never sent to us

The Sincere Strategy

Everything WhollyCare tells you is meant to be auditable: you can see why it said what it said. We take no money from drug makers, providers, insurers, or attorneys to influence what you see. We don't sell your information β€” in fact, we don't keep it. Our only job is to leave you better prepared than the internet would, and calmer than fear would.

WhollyCare is an educational tool. It is not medical or legal advice and does not diagnose. Always rely on your care team and, for appeals, consider professional help for complex cases.

Read my results

You can see your results before your doctor explains them. Let's make that calm, not scary.

Paste what you see. WhollyCare won't tell you what it means β€” it'll help you understand the language and walk in with the right questions. If a result reads as reassuring, we'll say so gently. If it's the kind a doctor should walk you through in person, we won't alarm you β€” we'll get you ready for that conversation. And when you have a follow-up, ask us instead of Google.

Start your journey

Add what you know one step at a time β€” a scan result, what a doctor said, or a symptom change. The picture builds as you go across appointments. Saved only on this device, never sent to us. Try a sample:

A reassuring spine MRI A clean result An "it's unclear" result C-spine: fracture + "military spine" A concerning result

Separate several with a comma or Β·. It's normal for a doctor to list several β€” a to-investigate list, not conclusions.

Nothing here is medical advice.
Fight a denial

"Denied" almost always means "denied for now."

Insurers deny first, betting you won't push back β€” fewer than 1% of people do. When you do, a large share of denials get overturned. Paste your denial letter and we'll explain why they said no, show you the real odds, and draft your appeal.

<1%
of denied claims are ever appealed
~5%
of denials are for "medical necessity" β€” most are paperwork
~47%
overturned at independent external review
80%+
of prior-authorization appeals succeed

Sources: KFF ACA Marketplace denials & appeals 2024; NY DFS external-review data (via JAMA / Healthcare Dive); PA Insurance Dept.; AMA. Full citations in the framework doc.

Load your denial

Paste the denial reason from your letter or Explanation of Benefits (EOB). The engine reads the language of the denial β€” it doesn't see your records. Try a sample:

"Not medically necessary" "Experimental / investigational" "No prior authorization" "Out of network" "Coding / billing error"
Not legal advice.
Disability & benefits Β· education, not legal advice

This system denies first too. We'll help you help yourself β€” and tell you honestly when to bring in a human.

Disability and VA benefits are a maze built to wear people down: deny first, bury the deadlines, bet you give up. You can do a lot of this yourself. Where you can't, there's often free accredited help most people never hear about. Because WhollyCare takes no referral fees, our advice on when to get help is yours alone.

38%
of SSDI claims approved at first apply β€” but ~51–58% approved at a judge hearing
~35%
of VA claims denied at first β€” yet 70%+ succeed on appeal with new evidence
$0
a VA-accredited VSO rep is free by law; SSDI lawyers are contingency (no upfront cost)

First, your state (optional, but it changes a lot)

Two things vary by state and matter enormously: whether your state expanded Medicaid, and whether getting SSI automatically enrolls you in Medicaid. We'll also name the free help your state has by law.

Which path are you on?

Pick the one that fits. We'll lay out the map: what it is, who qualifies, the real odds at each stage, the deadlines, and where the free help lives.

SSDI / SSI (disability) Disabled Adult Child (on a parent's record) VA disability (veterans)

The Sincere Tollgate β€” "do I actually need a lawyer?"

An honest answer, with no incentive behind it. Tell us where you are and we'll tell you which gate you're at β€” and never let you flail alone through a hearing when free or no-cost help would change the outcome.

ℹ️
WhollyCare is an educational tool β€” not legal or benefits advice. Rules vary by state and change over time. Outcomes vary and are never guaranteed. The best first step for most people is a free accredited representative or benefits-planning consult. Always rely on official program rules and deadlines.
Resources & support β€” not a diagnosis

You served. Reaching out is strength, not weakness.

Whatever you're carrying β€” sleepless nights, anger you can't place, numbness, or thoughts that scare you β€” there is real, free help, and you don't have to be enrolled in VA care to get much of it. Tell us what you're dealing with and we'll point you to the right people. We won't analyze you; we'll connect you.

If you need someone right now

Talking to your doctor

The appointment is short. These habits make it count.

Evergreen dos and don'ts for office visits and MyChart messages β€” especially when you're navigating something rare and you've been dismissed before. Print it, or copy a piece into your patient portal.

Before the visit

βœ… Do

  • Write your top 3 questions first β€” you'll get to what matters before time runs out.
  • Bring a one-paragraph timeline: when symptoms started, what changed, what made them better or worse.
  • Bring a second set of ears. People miss half of what's said when they're anxious.
  • List current meds, supplements, and prior tests so you're not asked to recall on the spot.

🚫 Don't

  • Don't arrive with a 40-tab search history as your case β€” it reads as anxiety, not evidence.
  • Don't bury the most important concern at the end.
  • Don't assume they've read every prior note β€” summarize briefly.

During the visit

βœ… Do

  • Ask "what's most likely, and what are you ruling out?" to get probabilities, not just a scary list.
  • Ask "what single test would tell these apart, and how soon?"
  • Ask them to spell terms, or write them down, so you can look them up calmly later.
  • Ask "what would make you more or less worried?" β€” it surfaces the real reasoning.
  • Repeat back the plan in your own words to confirm you've got it.

🚫 Don't

  • Don't leave without a concrete next step and who to call with questions.
  • Don't accept "let's wait and see" without "wait for what, and for how long?"
  • Don't be afraid to say "I've been dismissed before, and I need us to take this seriously."

Messaging through MyChart

Portal messages are read fast, so be brief and specific. A good one: one sentence of context, one clear question, one ask. The "Read my results" tool builds these for you and lets you copy them straight in.

Hi Dr. ____, I saw my MRI result in the portal before our visit and want to come prepared. My question: of the possibilities you mentioned, which is most likely, and what one test best tells them apart? Could we get that test ordered before or at our next appointment? Thank you.
How it works

A constraint engine, not a chatbot guessing in the dark.

WhollyCare runs on rules you can read. It reads the language of your result or denial β€” never your health record β€” and decides how to talk to you about it. Here's exactly what it does and what it deliberately won't.

Reading a result β€” the four modes

The engine sorts the wording into an internal read, then picks how to respond. You never see a raw "good/bad" label β€” you see the mode it triggers.

Reads as reassuring

When the language leans reassuring ("no evidence of," "unremarkable," ordinary wear). We'll say so gently and translate the words β€” then still send you to confirm.

An open question

When it's indeterminate ("cannot exclude," "correlate clinically"). We stay neutral and focus on the one test that closes the loop.

Let's get you clear answers

When the language is the kind best explained in person. We make no good/bad call and don't echo the scary words β€” we get you ready for the conversation.

Let's get oriented

When there isn't enough familiar language to classify. We keep it to strong questions.

The promises it keeps (the constraints)

  • Never diagnoses β€” always "what your team will weigh," never "you have."
  • Never manufactures dread β€” a concerning read is never labeled bad or scary.
  • Never gives false reassurance β€” soft good news only when the result genuinely earns it.
  • Always gives questions and a next step.
  • Follow-ups beat Google, not your doctor β€” a real, calm answer to the facts; never a personal verdict on how serious your result is.
  • Routes red flags β€” certain symptoms get a clear "contact your team now."
  • Shows its work β€” every card explains why you're seeing that mode.

Honest limitations

The current engine matches patterns in words β€” it isn't clinical understanding. A benign report full of scary-sounding terms may land in "let's get clear answers" mode, which is the safe direction to be wrong: it just sends you in with good questions. It can't catch everything, and a reassuring-sounding report can still need follow-up. That's why "your care team decides" never goes away.

Your privacy

WhollyCare has no login and no server collecting your information. Your journey is saved only on this device, in your own browser β€” it is never uploaded to us or anyone else, and you can clear it in one click anytime. We don't keep it, and we couldn't sell it if we wanted to. (You can also export your journey to a file you control.)
